Welcome to the West Side Soccer League Referee Program - A note from the Referee Administrator
We hope that you enjoy your time on the pitch this season and we thank you for your dedication. Whether you are refereeing in U6 or U19, as center referee or running the lines, you are performing a vital role for the league and for the children, allowing them to develop and play soccer in a manner that is Safe, Fair and Fun. Remember that you are also allowed to have fun as a referee. We try to create a friendly and supportive environment to allow you to learn and thrive in this capacity.
Not a referee? Click here to find out why you should and how to make it happen. The first step is to register as a volunteer by updating your adult profile on your wssl in-league account and checking off the volunteer box for Referee!
We have several resources that are meant to support you as you participate as a referee in our League's games. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your division's Chief Referee.
We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs). You can find them here.
There are three members of the AYSO "Team" - Coaches, Referees and Parents. We have assembled some guidelines on how Coaches and Referees can cooperate to improve the experience for our players. You can see them here. Parents who aren't Coaches or Referees may find it interesting as well.
See you on the pitch!
Best regards,
Training
